Compassionate 2000 Project

What is the Compassionate 2000 Project?
We founded this project in 1999 in response to a request for assitance from His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Dept of Religion and Culture. Many elderly, destitute, sick Tibetan refugee monks and nuns are living in the streets and poorhouses throughout the Himalayan region. According to the Dalai Lama's Tibetan Government in Exile, they are destitute, without food, shelter, or medical care. Their situation is extremely difficult.
How can I help?
You may like to sponsor a refugee monk or nun. You may make your donations annually by check or by Pay Pal on our website using your credit card. If you do not wish to sponsor a monk or nun at this time, you may send a one time donation of any amount, large or small. We will make sure your donation, in your name, arrives safely to the refugee monks and nuns.
This important project has been very successful both for the sponsored desitute monks and nuns and for their sponsors over the last 10 years. The sponsor's donations help the destitute monks and nun purchase much needed food and medicines. The sponsor receives a photo of their sponsored friend and the monk or nun remembers their benefactor in their daily prayers and special blessings. The annual donation for sponsorship of your refugee friend is $150.00. Your donation can be paid quarterly or annually.
We always have refugee monks and nuns waiting for sponsorship. Please email us to find out how you can sponsors a refugee monk and nun, they are waiting for our assistance...
